Course description

This online course is designed to equip both teachers and young people with essential knowledge about adolescent reproductive health (ARH) and the key challenges adolescents face. Participants will begin by developing a clear understanding of ARH, exploring its definition and related terms. The course will highlight the most pressing reproductive health issues affecting adolescents today, such as early pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and gender-based violence, supported by relevant data and statistics.

Teachers will gain insights into the crucial role of Family Life and Health Education (FLHE) and Education for Health and Wellbeing (EHW) programs in guiding and empowering adolescents. The course will demonstrate how educators can foster an environment that equips young people with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to effectively navigate reproductive health challenges and make informed decisions.
